About the Project

A supply chain management platform built for distributors and wholesale operators, connecting clients, vendors, and internal teams into a single, automated workflow. From the moment a client raises a request to the final invoice, the system handles vendor outreach, quote comparison, order creation, shipment tracking, billing, and accounting, with minimal manual intervention. The same engineers have been the core engineering team since 2018 across two interconnected products, a relationship that predates Rorix itself and has continued under it: an inventory and vendor management platform and a warehouse and logistics operations system.

Manual, Fragmented Vendor and Inventory Management

Clients, vendors, and internal teams were operating across disconnected systems. There was no unified way to track vendor pricing, compare quotes, manage inventory variants, or fulfill orders when a product was out of stock.

Outdated, Tightly Coupled Architecture

The original platform was a monolithic .NET and React application running on .NET Core 2.1 with class-based React components. As the business scaled, the architecture could not keep up with new requirements, performance demands, or independent team workflows.

Complex Shipment and Billing Edge Cases

Real-world logistics introduced scenarios the system was not built to handle: delayed shipments, returns, missing deliveries, multi-shipment orders, and region-specific sizing and currency differences. Each edge case created operational and financial risk.

Financial Compliance and Invoice Rejection

When Amazon introduced AI-based invoice validation, the platform's generated invoices began failing validation checks, directly impacting order fulfillment. The issue needed rapid diagnosis and a structural fix to the invoice generation logic.

How We Delivered

Platform Separation and Architecture Modernization

Decoupled the original monolithic .NET and React application into two independent, maintainable projects. Upgraded the backend from .NET Core 2.1 to .NET 9, and migrated the React frontend from class-based components to modern hook-based architecture.

End-to-End Order and Vendor Workflow

Built the complete order lifecycle from client request through vendor RFQ, quote comparison, order creation, shipment tracking, and invoice generation. The system automatically reaches out to vendors, surfaces the best offers, and moves the order forward with minimal manual steps.

Warehouse and Logistics Operations Platform

Built and enhanced the second platform covering storage management, billing, role-based access, and shipment tracking through to final delivery. Added enterprise-grade features including dashboards, reporting, event calendars, feedback systems, and real-time notifications.

Shipment and Billing Edge Case Management

Designed and implemented handling for real-world logistics exceptions: delayed shipments, returns, missing deliveries, and multi-shipment orders. Built inventory reconciliation flows and billing adjustments to keep financial records accurate.

Region, Currency, and Size Chart Support

Identified and resolved issues caused by regional differences in product sizing, currency, and timing. Added region-specific size charts and globalization support so the platform could serve clients and vendors across different geographies.

QuickBooks Integration

Integrated QuickBooks across both platforms for synchronized financial management. Built flows for invoicing, receipts, and accounting that keep the organization's financial data accurate and up to date with minimal manual effort.

Amazon Invoice Compliance Fix

When Amazon's AI-based invoice validation began rejecting system-generated invoices, diagnosed the root cause, analyzed the new validation requirements, and updated the invoice generation logic to meet the new standard, fully resolving the rejections.

Role-Based Access and Multi-Team Configuration

Implemented a granular role-based access system allowing organizations to distribute sections and responsibilities across teams, departments, and locations. Each team sees and manages only what is relevant to their function.
