The original monolith was .NET Core 2.1 with class-based React: tightly coupled, hard to extend, and starting to crack under real logistics edge cases like multi-shipment orders, delayed deliveries, and region-specific currency differences.
We decoupled the monolith into two independent platforms. We upgraded the backend from .NET Core 2.1 to .NET 9, migrated the frontend to hook-based React, and built the complete order lifecycle: client request → vendor RFQ → quote comparison → PO creation → shipment tracking → invoice generation. When Amazon introduced AI-based invoice validation and Lorecs’ invoices started failing, we diagnosed the structural issue and shipped a fix in a single sprint: zero rejections since.
